Mashreq Bank’s app has some unique features and abilities that are user friendly and convenient.
The new advanced safety features include its Card Control service, integrated to its mobile banking app – Mashreq Snapp.
‘Block by Country’ and ‘Block by Merchant Category’ are aimed at giving more power to the customer to safeguard the use of their debit and credit cards.
The service gives customers the power to lock, block, limit, manage daily purchases and set maximum transaction amount and count on all their cards.
Another feature in Mashreq’s digital offering is Apple’s Siri for voice-powered payments.
The new mobile banking feature allows customers to transfer payments using Apple’s virtual assistant, Siri.
First-time users will need to download the new iOS10 update and register for voice banking services. They will then receive a one-time password (OTP) that will allow them to confirm the registration and start using the service.
And more recently, the financial institution has rolled out Samsung Pay for its customers.
Mashreq debit and credit cardholders* (Visa/MasterCard) are now enabled to perform transactions at any merchant without the use of plastic cards.
Samsung Pay is a secure mobile payment service that is compatible with the latest Near Field Communication (NFC) and Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technologies. This means that you dont need to carry the physical card with you. You just need to swipe or tap your phone with the credit card picture on it and your transaction will go through.
